Manny Phesto: Interview

Whether he is rapping about smoking on rooftops or describing south side life there is no denying that Manny Phesto is keeping true hip hop alive.
Many people will always discuss the west coast and the east coast when it comes to hip hop but remember Minneapolis is definitely worth watching.

Read below to see what albums he played as a child and his experience of opening up for Curren$y.

Who are you and what city do you represent?

M: I'm Manny Phesto, hailing from Minneapolis Minnesota.

What is the music scene like in Minneapolis?

M: It's dope. Lots of talented artists in the community here. The hip hop scene in particular is home to some of the nicest out in my opinion. Fertile ground for creating. People come out and support at shows too. Lots of love.

Which albums received heavy rotations when you were younger?

M: Camron's  Purple Haze, B.I.G. - Ready to Die, Nas - Illmatic, AZ - Doe or Die, The L.O.X. - We Are the Streets, 2pac - All Eyez on Me, Bone Thugs n Harmony - The Art of War, Twista - Kamikaze. A whole bunch of Bob and the Wailers. This isn't a complete list, but some that definitely got play.

How have people responded to your music?

M: The response has been mind blowing, I'm incredibly grateful. A lot of people are connecting with the project, giving lots of support. It's awesome hearing how different folks relate to the music and can interpret it differently.

You recently opened for Curren$y on the Drive In Theatre Tour. What was the experience like for you?

M: I did, it was fun. My guy Mike the Martyr and I did a joint set for the first time, so it was kind of experimental. It was good, I think our audiences intersect in a couple places. It was fun to get in front of some new young stoner faces and get down. They were receptive. Curren$y killed it, I got kicked out though before he finished his set.

Describe south side life.

M: That's tough. There are a lot of them, this city is a melting pot.  I'd say some typical south side life things include the May Day parade, bending corners down River Road, dope hip hop, White Sands Beach, that spot on the railroad tracks where cats have been throwing graf up forever. Lakes. Rooftops. Good Weed. Good vibes.

What did you hope to achieve by releasing South Side Looking In?

M: Really just to get my music out there, get my name on the tip of peoples tongues. Get some good gigs, and just start to lay the groundwork to squeeze a living out of this music thing. I've been around the scene with my block party and in other capacities but had never dropped an actual solid body of work.

Can you describe your relationship with Mike The Martyr and how you guys met?

M: Me and Martyr met at an I Self Devine recording session a few years back. I Self used to record every Friday at this lab over south with Benzilla, he'd reached out to both of us the same day to come through. We'd done a couple joints since then. I stopped by his lab to lay a verse for some song he had sent months before, knocked it out and we had time so we wrote and recorded another joint, 'The Account' which we ended up using for the project. Think I left with ten beats or something that day. Martyr is that guy.

What is your opinion on modern day radio?

M: Mixed. I think there is strength in radio, when in the right hands. I think community based radio is an awesome tool. I think the Clear Channel type stations are a detriment to the culture.

How important is flow?

M: Important. You gotta have flow, and find your own flavor or you'll be a stale boring ass artist who sounds like they're reading a math textbook.

What is hip hop to you?

M: It's a culture, an ever morphing one that the majority of the people I know are a part of. It's the voice of a couple generations. The voice of the struggle. Therapy. Life.

Opinion on battle rapping? Who are some of your favorite battle rappers?

M: Battle rapping involves a whole other set of skills than writing, or even free styling. I'm purely a spectator. in the twin cities, my guy Bobby Raps is a beast, Metasota as well. Hollow is dope, that Budden battle recently was painfully hilarious to watch. Swave Sevah had me cracking up the other day. Lots of dope battlers out right now.

Lastly who do you want to give a shout out to? Is there anyone who is killing the rap game right now but doesn't get enough appreciation?

M: Hmm, lots of dope cats out. S/o my guy Knox, he's a super ill writer who makes that spine tingle music. Shout out Freez, another top tier bar spitter who's been putting it down. Production wise Woolley is a beast, he's a super humble dude, so he plays the background but homie is super dope.

Via Rosa: Interview

Via Rosa is a female producer and singer currently living in the city of Chicago. When she isn't making wonderful music you can most likely find her creating exquisite meals. Recently Chicago has been buzzing with talented acts which is why you should pay attention to Via Rosa. When I first started this blog it was meant to share some cool music I enjoyed. Earlier this year I posted music from Via Rosa and now I'm interviewing her!!! Please enjoy.

Is Via Rosa both your artist name and birth name?

V: No my real name is Lluvia Rosa Vela the name Via was given to me by the kids on the reservation we didn't have cell phones so we'd scream at each other from outside the house and Lluvia was to long they said haha

How did you end up in Chicago?

V: I lost my job and apartment in Hollywood and my best friend had been living here for a few years already n my grandmother had cancer and wasn't doing well so I came to be closer to my friend and help my grama and the triple threat was that THEMPEOPLE was fuckin wit my music so being closer to them was definitely the move

Many times when Chicago is brought up people discuss it in a negative way. What are some positive things you'd like to say about your city that people forget to mention?

V: Well even though I've lived here for 4 years I know very little about Chicago I'm still learning I live under a rock but the parks are awesome and there are so many cool and free things to do I've met some outstanding people here I still have to sit back n be like "damn all my homies are freggin amazing!!"

How do you keep yourself strong during difficult times of hardship?

V: Man it's clichè to say but my friends get me through man I prolly have the best friend in the entire world that and cooking/ writing I'll cook a 9 course meal n write while I cook n then not even eat it....

Can you describe your childhood and your most vivid childhood memory?

V: My parents were in a reggae band my entire childhood the last tour I went on I was 13 never went to any real schools besides private culinary schools and an independent study that I dropped out of I spent most of my time just listening to music and coloring most vivid memory though? Hmmmm okay one time my dad sent me to the store to get 2 dozen tortillas an he looked me in the eye n said "ok Lluvia I need 2 dozen tortillas that's 24 tortillas" n I walked to the little Mexican shop n slammed my money on the counter n said "ok I need 24 dozen tortillas" n sat there for 3 hours while they made them from scratch long story short my dad was pissed n I was eating tacos for months

At what moment or age did you know you would be doing music as a career?

V: Man lm still not sure what I'm doing to be honest I'm a chef I was trained as a chef I love cooking Ive wanted a restaurant since I was like 9
I've been officially been making music since I was like 14 but never thought about taking it serious serious till we started recording the DeathViaLove album when I was 22 i just like making music wether people like it or if I get famous off it is another story it'll be made regardless hopefully people like it enough n I'll be able to buy me a restaurant :) plan b: sell everything I own and move to South America haha

At what age did you discover your miraculous voice?

V: Miraculous tho? Haha when did I discover it ? Or when did other people say I could sing? Lol I started writing and singing my songs when I was 19 in Hollywood Colin Tilly was like my neighbor an he came over n I played him some of my music n he flipped out n brought me back a mic and an inbox cuz I had been recording all my songs straight into my computers built in mic I discovered my voice about 3 weeks ago hahaha

Why did you choose to make your music very personal?

V: Cause music is not a game to me it's not a show to be put on with entrances and exits music is forever my music is me it's my story it's how I feel if I write about anything other then that I feel like I'm lying and an I'm a horrible liar I always say if you wanna know exactly how i feel just listen to the music it never lies...

What was the most difficult track to create on Death Via Love in terms of working with your emotions?

V: Probably "one more" just cause I felt so bad about the situation dude prolly would of been a great boyfriend n prolly would never hurt me ever In life smh funny how love works the heart wants what the heart wants we'll have
someone willing to love us with all our flaws and we still want the one person we can't have that or "moving on your body" haha that song means a lot to me as well

What is ThemPeople?

V: A group of silly gooses haha naw it's a production team consisting of Michael Anthony, Lboogie, Sean Deaux and The Mind aka my brothers aka the coolest cats in the Midwest aka my fairy god fathers haha I'm just the little sister everyone has to love

Can you describe the story of how you and ThemPeople got together to make music?

V: I produced a whole album for a mutual friend when she came home to Cali for the Summer in 08 an they heard it and liked my beats we stayed in contact n when I moved here I became their chef and over time I became apart of the family n they set me up with a weekly recording session CHANGED MY LIFE i wouldn't be the woman I am today without those men

Not only are you known for your wonderful music but you are also a talented cook. What are some of your favorite meals to make?

V: I could lie n talk about all the exotic things I like to make from all over the world but to be honest good ol Mexican food is my true love it was the first cuisine I learned how to make n it reminds me of my family in Texas but I love to make everything especially Thai and Indian curries

What did you hope to achieve by releasing your latest project?

V: Cinderellla "99 was recorded in my room on a old electro voice mic I found in my basement I just wanted to share a piece of uncut  me in my house with no boarders or boundaries just me in a dark room singing into my microphone

What's the next big step for you?

V: No big steps right now just making more music

What's the most important thing to keep track of in life?

V: Your mind and your energy being aware of the energy your sharing with the world and the energy you surround your self with the mind is very powerful it has the power to create and destroy you it's important to keep track of these cause if you don't you might walk into a portal you don't like and end up somewhere you're not supposed to be at the wrong time

What troubles you most in modern society?

V: People knowing the truth and being so deep in denial that they lie anyway.....

In your opinion where do you believe the current state of music is at?

V: I think it's changing as we speak I couldn't tell you if I wanted

Favorite Nina Simone track?

V: I honestly didn't grow up listening to her so I don't know
She's amazing all the songs I've heard by her are good I just don't listen to them

Do you picture yourself in front of thousands or do you prefer performing at more smaller intimate venues?

V: Intimate shows with thousands of people

What keeps you going and alive every morning?

V: love, I'm a hopeless romantic it's so embarrassing people make fun of how much I believe in love (sighs)

Besides Savemoney, Jean Deaux, Noname Gypsy, Mick Jenkins, and Saba who's the next to blow from Chicago?

V: Oh I'm no fortune teller, it could be anybody.

Yungest: Interview

For my latest interview I got to exchange words with the flyest chick out of Denmark. Nigar (Yungest) is a rapper, producer, and singer all in one. With only 5 songs on her Soundcloud she already has the whole internet waiting for what she will do next.Read below to learn about her upcoming EP and some of her musical influences.

Is there a story behind your musician name? What is your birth name and current age?

N: Well, I've always been the youngest within my friends, and they used to call me yung vaseline, because I literally use a tub of vaseline a month; so I decided to switch it up to yungest, since everybody wants to be 'yung something' nowadays. My real name is Nigar /nyjaah, knee-gar, whatever/ and I'm 19 years young.

Can you explain life in Denmark to the readers who know nothing about it?

N: Denmark is a small country, I live in Copenhagen and that's basically the only relevant place in Denmark. Copenhagen is really nice, from the people to the culture! Great fashion sense out here and people like to drink and get high. But our public transportation and food prices are ridiculous. Being rich in America does NOT make you rich in Denmark!

Is there a music scene where you live? If so can you describe it?

N: DEFINITELY! I used to focus a lot on getting out of Denmark and doing music on an international plan but there is definitely hope here. Denmark is filled with young artists and I'd like to say everyone is very talented at what they do. We have a lot of great events and festivals that celebrates new artists and helps them prosper. The whole clubbing scene out here is crazy, we literally go out from tuesday-sunday, and foreign people can't keep up with the wave! We like getting drunk and we love good music.

In my opinion I believe your voice is very unique in today's music. Did you ever take voice lessons or did your voice come naturally?

N: Thank you very much! I've never had any voice lessons, I've always had a high-pitched voice (same as my laugh, which people find extremely annoying) I've just always liked trying different things with my voice but I learned to accept the fact that I will forever sound like a 12 year old, which is fine with me. Some people find it cute.

Which musicians inspired you to produce?

N: My dad was a DJ back in Miami, and I've always been influenced by him and his music. He has boxes filled with vinyls! I think that me trying to produce was meant to be, seen as I was surrounded by music all the time. My friend Blake Jordan who's a producer/DJ was definitely the guy who encouraged me to try it out.

Favorite J Dilla track?

N: Is there such thing? I'm too big of a Dilla fan, but I'd have to say 'African Rhythms', the live drums and bass is so sick.. Or maybe 'Mash' or 'U-luv' or 'Fly girl'... I could go on haha.

Do you go digging for records? What are some of your favorite vinyls that you own?

N: I have only bought two records in my life, 'A Long Hot Summer' by Master Ace and 'Special Herbs vol.1&2' by MF DOOM. Everything else I own is from my dad. My favorite vinyls are 'Ruff Draft' by Dilla, '12-play' by R. Kelly, 'Duke Ellington meets Coleman Hawkins' by Duke Ellington and Coleman Hawkins and 'Reality Rap' by Infamous Mobb.. But I have a lot of unnamed shit as well, like a bunch of jazz records with no artist name, that shit is so tight!

Are you currently working on a project? Will we be seeing an EP, mix tape, or an album anytime soon?

N: I'm working on an EP, or we're starting in a couple of weeks. It's with two of my friends who are both very talented producers, s/o 2 Jagan Mai and Blake Jordan.

Have you received any negative feedback yet? If so how do you deal with it?

N: I have, but it's mostly been people complaining about the quality of my music. People need to realize that I've recorded everything on my Mac or on my iPhone, I haven't had the opportunity to use an actual mic. I don't really respond to negativity, I like to focus on all the nice stuff people tell me, that will help me grow as a person and as an artist. People always seem to dwell on salty comments and negative attitudes, but that won't help you. So quit all the chit-chatting, bad-mouthing and focus on yourself, your progress and your product.

Not only are you known for your music but also for your great selfies. What is the secret to a perfect selfie?

N: Hahaha, I can't even take real selfies anymore. I broke the front screen of my phone, so every time I try to take a picture, it's all blurry. All I do is mirror pics now. Selfies are great, they let you stunt on people for a min, show em ur beautiful. Atta boy, get it gurl.

How close are you to getting your own studio?

N: Far from close. We're trying to set up all my friends equipment in my room, so we can record over the summer, but I don't know how it'll go because the isolation in my room is trash. But if anyone is feeling generous and wants to help a young girl get her shit together, you can paypal me on 'Nigarkanawati@hotmail.com' ...every dolla counts!

How did you happen to record the couple songs you have out now? What was the process and what programs did you use?

N: Well I started producing back in January '13, and after a while I realized how boring I thought it was. Like it was fun making the beat, but I didn't know how to express myself with it. I always liked singing, writing, rapping, so one day me and my friends got really drunk, put on a Dilla beat, and i started freestyling; one of my friends was recording it and we listened to it the day after and got really high to it. So i decided to write it down, do it over and voila.... ''idk bout rapper boyfriends'' was made. I record on garage band, it's the easiest for me.

Besides Earth what is your favorite planet?

N: The moon, because she's fucking gorgeous. (s/o 2 Rejjie Snow)

*Referenced track:
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-3q0e-ZRsg *

Describe your past relationships?

N: Shitty, shitty, shitty. I haven't always been this confidence in who I am as a person, therefore I was always the laid-back and weak link in a relationship. I never spoke up. But that shit is way different now, if I'm feeling some sorta way, I will let you know!

What is your ideal date?

N: Getting really high on a roof and then just talking about everything from food to traveling to how I used to write love letters in other people's name back in 5th grade.

Who is your dream rapper boyfriend?

N: I don't wanna put him on blast like that, but me and Drake been talking for a while. #on #everything

How do you hope people react to your music?

N: I hope people can relate to it, especially girls my age, plus/minus. I just want people to know that we all go through the same shit with love, life, being broke and getting high; my way to deal with it is to put in songs. I hope it makes people think ''yo, this girl is in the exact same situation as me''... A lot of people tell me they get high to my music, so smoke up.

Lastly what is your philosophy for living a happy life?

N: You can only be truly happy when you realize that everyone is selfish and everyone is going to do what they want to do! So do what you want to do, have fun and get the best out of every single day. I don't want to go networking with boring ass people, talk contracts and money, I just want to make music for ever. I can't tell people how to be happy, but I can tell you that you won't be happy as long as you're salty! Hope everyone has a great life and reaches all their goals!

Iglooghost: Interview

Seamus (Iglooghost) is an eighteen year old upcoming producer residing in England. Read below to learn about Error Broadcast and the creative process used for his project Treetunnels.

*Please excuse me while I go pop a bottle of champagne and celebrate this wonderful interview*

What is your birth name and how old are you?

S: yoyoyoyoyo. my name's Seamus. it rhymes w anus. I just turned 18 a couple days ago.

For the people who don't know much about where you live can you please describe it for them?

S: Rural ass England. there's the dope-ish side of the whole thing like with the badgers & owls & empty forests but it's basically like the English version of south USA in terms of dumb ass racist farmers lolol.

What is the significance behind the name Iglooghost? Do you live inside an igloo? Are you a ghost?

S: cos I'm a cold ass motherfucker

Have there been times when people don't take you serious due to your age?

S: ye man. fuck em. who cares about my physical form of a human child

How do your parents feel about your career in music?

S: lmao they're pretty down with it. I don't exactly come from a long line of mega-serious musicians. Like my mum plays a flute sometimes and my dad plays naked in a punk band and sings about dog shit & getting stoned

What is Error Broadcast?

S: Error Broadcast is a dope ass label from Europe. They don't give a shit about much else than putting out music they love. They're mad sincere & altruistic <3

How did you happen to join them? Did you approach them or was it the other way around?

S: basically this geezer called memotone passed a lil demo of my own old shit to soosh who passed it to the label. I used to listen to soosh on moody autumnal walks home from school back in like 2011 so that was fucking surreal that he hooked my whole shit up

Are you currently working on another project?

S: yeah man. not actually for error b tho. slugabed's got this ickle label called ACTIVIA BENZ. accy b. their visual aesthetic is infinitely dope to me and we're putting out a rap album in a rlly rlly rlly weird ass way in the summer. more on that later hohohohohoho

How did your relationship with milo begin and how was it decided that you will be producing his debut album?

S: threw him a beat on a coin flip & he liked the beat and then we crafted a giant ass album and now it's done wowowow

What goes through your head when making a song?

S: "this is fucking shit"

Which genres have inspired you the most?

S: basically all the songs in pokemon gold//silver for the gameboy color

Are you amazed by the amount of great feedback you have received on Treetunnels?

S: yo idk I can only rlly listen to 5 joints off that tape. but yeah man gilles peterson copped it wtf. I have his money in my pockets.

What was the process like when creating Treetunnels?

S: oh a lot of the time I saw a cool piece of graphic design & had it above my computer n I tried to see if the music fit the artwork. like i'd try and remake it in music form like a dumb idiot. It was a super nervous ass neurotic fast process in all cus i was tryna finish all my final exam subject things. Juggling those 2 things 50//50 let a lot of it bleed into each other actually. I got a lot of fuckin weird coursework now.

Do you have a favorite song you worked on?

S: man it's usually the last thing i made. I fuck w this track I've been working on. It's called GUTTEDDDD right now. gutted means sad or humiliated down in England. It's like 'oh what u didnt sleep w her??? gutted!!!!!'

Are there any tips you would like to say to upcoming producers?

S: man.... fuck trap drums. I know the 808 shit is super timeless and easy to slot into any composition but just fuck around w some other stuff. Oh also if you're making some shit n you're like "hmmmmm I like it but idk if it sounds like music or an established genre" you've probably actually cracked something super original. that shit is like catching a shiny Pokemon so don't pussy out & start the song again, keep that shit.

Besides music what does your life revolve around?

S: I'm always tryna make something or I feel like shit. I just finished school so it's mad hard to not creatively exhaust myself cus I try and constantly work. I dunno I love making weird cartoony outfits & interior design without sounding like a dickhead lmfao

Can you explain a common day in the life of Iglooghost?

S: either me and my friends try & find some weird places to hang out & drink hard liquor or I'll be tryna make a giant song. All my new shit is super long & fast in tempo and its fucking exhausting to make hahahahaha ITS COOL THO

Lastly why should people know about you?

S: I dunno man I got some good shit in the works. also 1 time I wrote a comprehensive guide to English brickwork & if you're not fuckin w that then idk what the fuck you want mate <3

Man of Many Names: Guy Torres

For my fourth interview I got to exchange some words with the multi talented musician that is George Torres. Read below to learn about his music projects and his many aliases. Also we get to know a few things about his interest in film.

Don't forget to add your email address above so you can be notified every time a new interview is posted!

Thank you for reading. I love you all <3

ENJOY!

I know you from twitter as “George Mango” but what is your real name? Where does the mango come from? Is your father’s last name mango and was he a mango? Family reunions must be really weird for you…

G: I come from a long line of mangoes.. My mother was a mango, father was a human with the last name Mango. The rest.. well you know it.

How many aliases do you have?

G: Currently I am under Sid Slacker (Radhands), Solus Evering (Solus), and LiL G. Now I myself am Guy Torres but I really love to channel characters I create. why? well I have a very big imagination, always have since I was little and since I also work in film, creating characters is kind of my thing. it’s also an easy way to say some of the things I want to say but choose not to and saying it through a character just makes it easier. So at the moment LiL G isn’t of much use to me and my two main acts I’m working with are Radhands and Solus.

Describe yourself in three words.

G: weird, sensitive, and friendly

What genres of music have you worked in?

G: I started off doing rap, mainly because it was easy and just a fun thing to do (LiL G). I am now doing more indie, indie rock, experimental, and even a little dream-pop. Which is definitely stuff I have always dreamed of making and now it has all caught up with me and I’m glad to be doing it.

One nation under Kanye? Are we all children of Kanye?

G: I pray to thee almighty Yeezus when I wake, before every meal, before every marijuana, and before I sleep.

Who are your favorite rappers?

G: kid cudi is my all time favorite, I respect all he does and he is one of my biggest inspirations. tyler, the creator, ab-soul, mf doom, tech n9ne, and childish gambino. I love me some kanye of course but honestly I’m not even big on rap anymore.

How would you describe your flow and singing voice?

G: It’s a mixture of fergie and jesus.

Why the use of so many voice modifiers?

G: I really just love experimenting and I love making weird stuff and modifiers amplifies the sound I am looking for.

Which project did you enjoy creating the most?

G: Of the projects I have put out, it would be Acid Flowers since it was the first tape to get me back into music and into it the way I want to be in it.
but i have some new tapes coming out and DUDE is definitely my favorite project.

Do you make your films and songs for entertainment purposes or to leave listeners/audiences thinking?

G: I don’t know to be honest, I’d have to say that everything I do in film/music is something I want to see or listen to. I like to get artsy, I like to get deep, I like to have fun, I like some nonsense,I like character development. I just kind of let projects flow through me and evaluate when I’m done.

You once told me that you are more interested in doing films. Which directors have inspired you the most?

G: Christopher Nolan is a favorite of mine, J.J. Abrams, Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson. I’m a sucker for those big named directors because i’ve grown up on them.
What film genres are you most drawn to?

G: I was always a fan of horror but sadly it’s a trashed genre now. so I am just really drawn to anything that makes me feel, makes me excited, and just pays respect to film.

Favorite Martin Scorsese film?

G: The Departed no doubt, that movie is gold!

Martin Scorsese is known for using real life people that were around him to create his films. Do you do the same in terms of music and films? If so can you give me some sort of example?

G: I guess in music I use it while writing lyrics. in film I do use it for ways want a certain character to look or certain traits from my friends that i put into certain characters. so I think I answered the question right, but yes.

Films that everyone should see?

G: I’m gonna say my favorite movie I recommend would be Scott Pilgrim vs. The World but four
films I recommend that get the most emotions out of me would be Drive, Seven Pounds, MILK, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Back Door Sluts 9 or Back Door Sluts 8?

G: I’m more of a Muppets Gone Wild guy.

Why do you create music projects in one day?

G: I just get all my creative flow in one sitting and it leads to making the instrumentals, writing the lyrics, recording, doing all the naming stuff and I just like to get out of my life and move on to the next project.

Aren't you afraid people won't take you serious if you make projects so quickly?

G: People don’t take me serious to begin with, I don’t want to be taken serious, I want to live, have fun, make my memories and making projects and sending them out quickly satisfies me and I really am only living to satisfy myself (mostly).

Malcolm X once said "you aint shit if you aint never struggled, you gotta put in hard work before you flex your muscles" would you agree with this quote?

G: I agree, the best people are the ones that come out of struggles.

*Actually Malcolm X never said that* Domo Genesis said that on the track Robes from the excellent album Piñata by Freddie Gibbs and Madlib. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK4IeKx7ljM

Upcoming projects?

G: I have three Radhands projects dropping very soon, DUDe (July 31st), Empty Tracks (Aug. 15th), and RADHANDS (Aug. 29th) .

Explain Tender Kids? What is your state of mind when creating a track under Tender Kids?

G: Tender Kids is just.. Tender Kids. my state of mind is just really, music. I can’t say for sure.

You are a fan of drugs?

G: I am, drugs definitely do things to you normal life can’t and also changes you in great or bad ways but I am a fan of all the things drugs do for me.

Why drugs not hugs?

G: Drugs are cool, hugs are for wimps (just kidding, i love hugs and drugs equally).

What's the most interesting drug story you have?

G: I have this crazy hells bells story that I don’t really want to take the time to remember and share but it was my craziest, glad I survived the day. also, anytime doing lsd is a story, but a story for the user.

Explain VoiceMail Records.

It’s more a collective, just spreading music of great artists I know and just an easier way of sharing everyone’s music on one site. voicemailrecords.bandcamp.com

Lastly what keeps you driven to make music? Where do you hope your music and films will take you?

I make music to really get my thoughts out through lyrics and the time to make it. I am an artsy guy and I just enjoy doing anything in the arts to express my emotions and the way I feel and the things I enjoy myself. I hope that film is my main work in the future but I truly hope that music and film just shapes my life, but that’s for the future to know.

In the end, we’re all just trying to please ourselves. so why make music for anyone else?
